Confidence That Lasts a Lifetime

When it comes to replacing missing teeth, nothing does it better than dental implants, especially when more than just one tooth needs replacing. What makes them so special? Instead of just restoring the top part of the tooth, the portion you can see, implants bring back the root structure as well, preserving the bone and giving a foundation to create a prosthetic that resembles a natural set of teeth. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Vinson is a certified expert at restoring implants, specifically the all on x type of prosthetics. What is an

All on X Procedure?

All on X is a treatment concept where implants are utilized to replace the full arch of upper and/or lower teeth with fixed (screwed in) non-removable full arch prosthetic teeth. This eliminates the flange and palate of a denture, making it much more comfortable and function like natural teeth. Similar concepts go by names of a Hybrid, All-on-four, or Great on 8 etc. However, unlike other cookie-cutter concepts, we believe it is important to customize each treatment specific to the patient’s individual anatomy and personality to maximize long term stability and esthetics. What this means is that the surgeon will customize the number of implants placed based on your bone structure and the prosthetic will be designed to make you feel like they are your own natural teeth. This life-changing procedure is one of Dr Vinson’s specialties and we look forward to helping you down the path to a healthier, more confident smile.

The benefits of

All on X Hybrid Procedure

The All on X Hybrid procedure offers several benefits that other methods of tooth restoration, such as dentures, bridges, or traditional dental implants, do not.

  • Teeth In One Day! All on X is sometimes called “teeth in a day” for very good reason. Most All on X patients go from having little to no teeth to a complete smile in just one day without ever having to wear a denture. On the day of surgery, your temporary teeth will be fitted to the implants and screwed in place.
  • Improved Quality of Life. This procedure gives you natural-looking and long-lasting beautiful teeth. Talking and eating feel normal, unlike with dentures.
  • Maintain Jawbone Health. With the use of implants, your jawbone is strengthened and preserved, which results in a healthier mouth and reduces your risk for future bone loss.
  • Increased Confidence. All on X procedures create natural and beautiful smiles for those who previously were self-conscious about their smile. No longer do you have to worry about missing teeth or dentures that move around and come loose.
  • Easy to Care For. You can care for your implant-supported prosthesis the in a similar way you would care for real teeth—with daily brushing and water-flossing, and regular visits to your dentist.
  • Cost Effective. Because the All on X procedure addresses a full arch with complete restoration in only one surgery, it is more cost effective than replacing each individual tooth with an implant and crown.

Before & Afters

Frequently Asked Questions for All-on-X

How are they different from dentures?

All-on-X dental implants are permanent screwed in prosthetics that are brushed and cleaned like natural teeth, do not have to be taken out, do not need adhesives, are comfortable because they do not press down on your gums, allow you to experience the hot and cold of your food, as well as the taste, allow you to bite with increased force (up to 70% more), so you can eat all of your favorite foods again, prevent bone deterioration and restore your facial features.

Will my results look natural?

Absolutely. This technique gives you permanent teeth that look, feel and function just like real prosthetics. No one will know you have implants unless you tell them. Many of our photos on the website are of natural looking smiles restored with the All-on-X procedure. Visit our before and after page to read stories from real patients who have received dental implant treatment.

What is the success rate of dental implants with this type of procedure?

Published studies show a 98% success rate using All-on-X dental implants. It is very important to keep up with regular hygiene visits to keep the area around the implants clean and disease free. Also, smoking is a major factor in the failure of all dental implants.

When do I get permanent teeth after implants are placed?

As with any surgery, you need time to heal. A temporary set of teeth will be placed on your implants at the time of surgery. Adjustments by Dr Vinson will be made during the healing process, which can take 3-6 months. Once the healing process is complete, your permanent prosthetic will be placed after a series of visits with Dr Vinson to finalize your smile.

What if I just need implants on my bottom arch?

This procedure can be placed on just the upper or lower arch. Dr Vinson will evaluate your specific circumstance and determine if you would benefit from both upper and lower arch surgery, or if you are a candidate for a single arch replacement. This service will be tailored to your individual needs.

What type of cleaning is required after an implant is placed?

Dental implants should be treated like your natural teeth with daily brushing and water-flossing. Our dental hygienists will review oral hygiene instructions with you and will recommend the most appropriate oral hygiene schedule that fits your needs. Implants can’t get cavities, but they can get bone disease, which is why a regular hygiene schedule should be maintained.
